First and foremost pardon me for I do not know the English translation of Adobo, so I just said Chicken Adobo though when I hear that it seems to be a different food. Anyway. here we go again with our COOKING FOR DUMMIES and now I will share to you how to cook Chicken Adobo or "Adobong Manok."
Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken chopped into preferred sizes
- 1 bottle Soy Sauce
- 1 bottle Vinegar
- 4 pcs onions (I love onions!!!)
- 1 pc garlic
- 4 pcs potatoes or as desired
- 1 Ginisa Flavor Mix
- pepper
- sugar
Procedure:
- Wash the chicken in water to remove any dirt and the usual odor.
- Put the chicken in a cooking bowl.
- Chopped onions and potatoes into desired sizes.
- Wash the potatoes.
- Crash the garlic.
- In the bowl with chicken add onions, pepper, Ginisa Flavor Mix, 6 tablespoons of vinegar, sugar, and soy sauce.
- Add some water.
- Mix the bowl using your hands to spread the mixture and even the taste.
- After mixing taste the mixture if it is according to your desired taste.
- Be sure that the chicken are submerged in water.
- Marinate the chicken for 15 minutes.
- After marinating cover the mixture and cook it.
- Wait for it to boil.
- Mix it once in a while. Do not mix heavily to avoid the chicken to tear apart.
- After 15 minutes, place frying pan in the stove and then add oil.
- Remove the chicken from the bowl and place it on the frying pan.
- Add garlic, ginisa flavor mix and potatoes and mix them.
- Cover the frying pan.
- After the mix had been distributed evenly put them in the cooking bowl with the sauce.
- Boil the mixture until the potatoes are soft.
- Serve with hot rice :)
I do not know what to call the cooking thing which you have to cook the meat, thus I just call it the cooking bowl. I am just a dummy.
