It was a night of food tasting back at East Capitol Drive in Kapitolyo Pasig City. This street is turning out to be a food strip that is gaining reputation. This time we had a foodie meetup at Tomahawk Chops and Grill.
The ambiance of the place was really good although I would really advice that they live up to their name and origin by providing an authentic Wild Wild West ambiance. It is actually already in that direction with the cowboy photos, the fonts and all, perhaps they could even make it Tomahawk Saloon and have that cool entrance door.
We were presented with lots of food choices and I will give my points on some of them:
- Buffalo Wings were really good but the distinctions among the flavors should be more evident. I think this would be improved soon.
- Grilled Baby Back Ribs needs a little more meat to it and I would not mind a price adjustment to achieve that.
- Smoky Shrimp Creole also needs work so that the flavor will be more tasty and enticing.
Now here are the best sellers and best tasting food from Tomahawk Chops and Grills:
- Johny Crockets was definitely the superstar. I really love it because the mashed potato was really flavorful although it is a bit sinful because of the bacon wrapping.
- Tomahawk Chops was also good. This is their specialty and why they are named as such in the first place. You need to see and discover this for yourself because it is really unique.
- Pulled Pork Waffle-which was also very good and I really love it. The taste of pork and the sweetness of waffle blended well.
- The Wookie or Waffle Sandwhich which is a waffle with ice cream on top is on of the best desserts I have ever tasted in all my foodie meetups.
I also highly recommend their Cool Cucumber Cooler and Sweet Pink Guava Drinks.
Overall, my Tomahawk Chops and Grills experience was awesome and I highly recommend it.
