Have you checked out the new logo of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas? What do you think? Is it better or is it worse?
Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas New Logo
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas is changing its logo of 10 years, a move said to keep up with "changing times" in the middle of a global recession.
BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno unveiled the new logo on Friday, which features a bright gold eagle, and deeper blue background that added more distinct details to the current emblem.
The central bank said the new logo, which will be used by January next year in phases, reflects the institution's "renewed vitality" and core principles and mandates.
“While the strong foundation of the BSP brand remains the same, its visual representation in the form of the logo requires an update to infuse the institution with renewed vitality, underscore its integrity and competence, and further promote the understanding of its mandates,” BSP Governor Benjamin E. Diokno said in a statement.
Why change an effective logo?
This is my personal opinion but the new logo is worse than before. I can understand the enthusiasm but design wise I would prefer the simple, flat layout and very appealing previous logo.
I do not personally understand why there is a need to change a logo which is already very good. Is it about fund allocation or something else? I would really love if someone would enlighten me on this.
What do you think?
